UNC Charlotte's Jamil Niner Student Pantry is competing against 14 other NC college food pantries in the Collegiate Hunger Challenge this fall. From September 26th to January 6th, our Pantry Ambassadors will hold educational events about food insecurity, food drives, and collect Food Lion MVP cards around campus and in the community.
For every Food Lion MVP card number submitted on behalf of the Jamil Niner Student Pantry, we will receive one point in the competition. Additionally, for every $10.00 spent at Food Lion using the tracked MVP cards, our pantry will receive an additional point. Points are accumulated between September 26th - January 6th and are even counted retroactively so we will collect MVP Card numbers through January 6th.

Plants for People will be holding a large-scale volunteer event in the Jamil Niner Student Pantry's backyard in October. Activities will include building new garden beds and planting!
