Fall 2024 Food Pantry Shopping Appointments

The Jamil Niner Student Pantry reopens for the Fall 2024 semester the week of August 19th. The Jamil Niner Student Pantry will be open for shopping on Tuesdays and Thursdays only during the Fall 2024 semester!

The pantry's online form for student shoppers opens every Sunday morning at 7:00 a.m. Shopping appointments can be scheduled between 11:00 - 4:30 p.m. Students may only shop once per week. Repeated no-shows to appointments will receive notification from our office and may lose eligibility for the remainder of the semester. Appointments are limited and we want to ensure that students are committing to their scheduled appointment date/time.

Starting July 1, 2024, the Jamil Niner Student Pantry is now managed by Student Assistance and Support Services (SASS). Please direct all questions regarding shopping, volunteering, donating, and partnerships to SASS. We can be reached at ninerpantry@charlotte.edu or (704) 687-0289.

Want to become a volunteer?

The Jamil Niner Student Pantry needs volunteers like you! We need volunteers on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m., 12:30 p.m. - 2:45 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

UNC Charlotte students should sign up on our Niner Engage events page for any of our weekly volunteer shifts. Shifts are regularly updated on Niner Engage.

All volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes inside the Jamil Niner Student Pantry.

If you are interested in having a large group or student organization volunteer or you are a community partner volunteer, please email ninerpantry@charlotte.edu regarding possible volunteer shifts.
