The Pantry Soft Appointment Request Form opens weekly on Sundays at 7 a.m.
Please click the link and click 'Login Here' to complete the form. Once you log in the pantry registration from will appear. Please fill out all questions. You will fill out the registration once per semester.
Once you submit the registration form, all available appointment times will appear on the next page. Select the next available time.
After you select your appointment time you will be taken to another page showing confirmation. If you have any trouble with the form, please email ninerpantry@charlotte.edu.
Appointments are limited and may fill quickly. If you are unable to schedule, please try again the following week. You will receive a confirmation email and a reminder email for your appointment. We recommend you screenshot your appointment information, in case their are technical difficulties
If you are unable to make an appointment, you are encouraged to visit the pantry during Walk-In Wednesdays. We allow walk ins for students and staff on Tuesday and Thursday from 4 p.m. - 4:45 p.m.
The Jamil Niner Student Pantry is open to registered UNC Charlotte students and staff only. If you are not enrolled classes or employed by the University, but need food assistance, please review local community food resources for support.
For your scheduled appointment:
- Bring your student ID for check-in.
- Please note your scheduled appointment date and time. Make sure it does not conflict with your class schedule.
- If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment time you may be asked to wait. Repeated no shows to appointments will receive notification from our office and may lose eligibility for the remainder of the semester.
- You are allowed to shop at the pantry once per week.
- We encourage sustainable shopping by asking shoppers to bring their own reusable grocery bag. Shoppers who bring their own bag will receive an extra snack item of their choice at the check out station.

The Jamil Niner Student Pantry invites our UNC Charlotte employees experiencing food insecurity to shop during our open shopping hours. Employee shoppers are accepted on a walk-in basis, no need to make an appointment. You must be a current UNC Charlotte employee.
If you are not a current UNC Charlotte employee, but need food assistance, please review local community food resources for support.
For your scheduled appointment:
- Bring your employee ID for check-in.
- You are allowed to shop at the pantry once per week.

Currently registered UNC Charlotte undergraduate and graduate students, as well as current employees, are eligible to shop at the pantry.
Students must complete the online form under the Appointments tab which asks for your student ID # and the number of dependents (minors) in your household. We do not ask invasive financial questions.
No. Our pantry uses a 'self-selection' model which means you determine whether you need to use the food pantry. Simply fill out the online appointment form. As long as you are a student enrolled in classes at UNC Charlotte or a current faculty or staff member, you qualify.
Shopping at the pantry is completely free.
Students can walk in without an appointment on Wednesday between 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Employees do not need an appointment to shop at the pantry.
No. Students must make an appointment to shop at the pantry on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Student walk ins are specifically for Wednesday between 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Employees can walk in and shop at the pantry on any day when the pantry is open.

- The Silver Route bus that meets in Lot 6 stops near the pantry. If riding the bus, take a left from the bus stop and walk past the Adult Care Center.
- Be respectful to our neighbors. Do not walk through the yard of the house next to the pantry.
The pantry provides a variety of perishable and non-perishable food items, personal hygiene products, household items, period products, bread, fresh produce, and frozen vegetables.
Fresh items such as bread, and fresh produce are available in limited quantities on a first-come-first-served basis. We also offer a selection of items specific to shoppers with dependents (small children).
The pantry does supply plastic bags to the students that shop but we encourage everyone to bring reusable bags if they can.
Shoppers who arrive more than 15 minutes outside of their appointment time will be asked to wait until other on time appointments have shopped. This policy is in place to guarantee a smooth shopping experience for everyone.
Yes! We have a maximum capacity of 15 to 20 people in the pantry at any given time. Use the Group Volunteer Form to sign up group volunteers. You can look under our donate tab to see the items that we accept in the pantry.
To request diapers, please fill out the diaper form the day before your appointment. They can only be received once a month.
